Clarence was raised in Las Vegas, NV, where he graduated high school. He later joined the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. As a Corpsman, he held many positions including Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist, Foreign Defense Advisor, Safety Technician, Master Training Specialist and Area Emergency Manager. While in service, he got certified as an Emergency Medical Technician and a Phlebotomist Technologist. While stationed in Okinawa, Japan, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Purdue University. He served 10 years of his career overseas attached to the Ground Combat Element of the Marine Expeditionary Forces which included six deployments to various locations to support Operations Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle.
Upon being retired from the Navy, he returned to Las Vegas and began volunteering as an EMT and teaching Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Basic Life Support, and other medical courses to the Las Vegas Metro Police Departments. Clarence hobbies include photography, botany, hiking and mentoring.
